Cogsdill

The company’s began it’s activity in Detroit, when in 1914 Stuart A. Cogsdill established a plant dealing with the regeneration of machining tools. Soon after, the activity was extended to the design and production of special tools requested by world pioneers of the automotive industry, such as Henry Ford and the Dogde brothers, who required reliable solutions dedicated to the toughest manufacturing problems.

Currently, the company is run by successive generations of the founder and still offers customers the same commitment that inspired its founder which is vision of development based on the design and implementation of tools for the most demanding machining processes. The offered solutions often allow to reduce the number of production sockets needed to produce a detail, thanks to e.g. precision burnishing tools to eliminate the grinding process.
